Barehipani Waterfall

Barehipani waterfall is the highest waterfall in Odisha located within the contour of Similipal Tiger Reserve. The name Barehipani originates from Local name ‘Barehi’ means Ropwhich is how it looks like. The waterfall drops over a wide cliff, in two tiers, ending in a broad pool view. The rolling waterfall drops from a height of 399m (1309 ft.) presents a majestic view with reverberating sound in the gorge from where the Budhabalanga river runs to the plain land. Due to heavy rainfall during the monsoon, causing immense waterflow indicates the lack of vegetation which is evidently visible. The waterfall Barehipani is a major tourist attraction in Similipal attracts lakhs of visitors every year across the globe. A visit to Similipal is incomplete without having a glimpse of the majestic waterfall. The waterfall remains open from 1st November to 15th June for tourists & the best time to visit the waterfall is November till the ends of February.

Joranda Waterfall

The Joranda waterfall is known for its beauty & one of the famous waterfall in India locate inside the Similipal Tiger Reserve in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha state. It’s a straight & single drop waterfall occupies an important destination in Odisha tourism map. It has a total height of 181mt. (594 ft) touches the ground on a gorge perpendicularly. The water plunges over a lofty cliff in a single drop, spreading out slightly as it falls. The grandeur & enthralling beauty of Similipal can be best viewed from this place. Uski Waterfall

Situated inside Simlipal Tiger Reserve, the river Bhandan when drops create this beautiful waterfall called Uski. It is the lone cascade of Similipal which you can see from a near by distance and may even clean up moreover. It’s around 50 KM from Jashipur and can be reached subsequent to driving in woods trails for around 3 hr. The waterfall remains open from 1st November to 15th June for tourists & the best time to visit the waterfall is November till the ends of February. The thick waterfall looks excellent with all the restored greenery after the downpours. Tourist occasion are fun doing this season on account of the agreeable climate.

Sitakund

Sitakund Falls is another outdoor tourist destination of the Shimilipal Tiger Reserve in Odisha. Sitakund Falls is located in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha and is a part of Shimilipal Biosphere Reserve. Sitakund waterfall is located 2 km from Pithavata entry gate. This place is more important to attract tourists to the beauty of Hinduism and natural springs. Devkund is a located on the bank of River Deo, while meandering on the hills, place of worship by the Hindus. The temple of Goddess Ambica was built up by the royal dynasty of Mayurbhanj in ancient period. Devkund means the bathtub of Gods and Goddesses. So, this place is very important for Hindu culture peoples, as they believe that it the bathing place of their Gods and Goddess, so by touching this water they get blessings of their god and goddess. Devkund is situated at 60 km from the main town of Baripada and 85 km from Balasore district. Devkund is going through in Udala division. It is a natural beauty of Odisha located inside Similipal Tiger Reserve. The cascade touching the base of the temple falls on a gorge where the River rests awhile and further follows its course. It is the most lovable picnic spot. The waterfall remains open in day time only from 1st November to 15th June for tourists & the best time to visit the waterfall is November till the ends of February.

Olukudar

Olkudar is situated 5 Kms far from Kaliani Gate in the rightside direction close to the olukudar village while entering from the Jashipur end. It’s located just 17km from Jashpur, Mayurbhanj. The cascade falling from a height of 20 meters on rocks and looks very scenic. It’s located outside the Similipal Tiger Reserve & open throughout the year. Best time to visit the waterfall is during winter.
